A prestigious civil engineering project essential to secure the safety of Gibraltar’s road users and ensure smooth access from the east coast to the southern tip of the Rock, Profield Contractors Ltd. is proud of its work in the construction of this 100m rockfall protection concrete canopy that extends from the tunnel entrance. The work included associated major earthworks, the construction of retaining walls, and the reconstruction of the roadway drainage in preparation for the building of the new improved two-way highway through the tunnel.
