Contracted by the Government of Gibraltar, Profield Contractors Ltd. constructed a new home for the marine sections of the Royal Gibraltar Police, the Gibraltar Defence Police and the Fire Service. We built a lightweight steel framed structure internally lined with insulated plasterboard and plywood panels, and an external cladding system, using a Kingspan sandwich panel roof. We also had to carry out marine works, which involve piling at sea and assembling pontoons – essentially concrete floats with galvanised steel pontoons.
